How Reporting and Blocking Works
What happens after you tap report or block on Almora — and why both are always confidential.

Every member has two direct tools: Block and Report. They do different things, and you can use both.
Blocking
Blocking takes effect immediately. The blocked member disappears from your discovery and explore results, your existing match ends, the conversation closes, and neither of you can see the other's profile or photos again. They are not told that you blocked them.
Reporting
A report opens a case for the Almora moderation team. You choose a reason — harassment, fake profile, inappropriate content, spam, safety concern — and can add context in your own words.
What happens next
1. The report enters a moderation queue and is reviewed by a trained member of our team.
2. We look at the reported behaviour, the account history and any related reports.
3. We take action: a warning, content removal, restriction, or permanent removal from Almora.
4. Serious safety concerns are escalated immediately.
The reported member is never shown who reported them, and reporting never notifies them.
When to report
Whenever something feels wrong — you do not need proof or certainty. Under-reporting is far more harmful to a community than an occasional report that turns out to be nothing.
If you are ever in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first, then report the account.
